Living more earth friendly is a journey we started when we lived in Kansas over 14 years ago. Just like traveling, which we love, the journey to being earth friendly brings change at each turn. Making changes can be hard and overwhelming. Changing everything all at once can be expensive and hard to maintain. We have found we are more succcessful when we make one or two changes at a time. Low-waste living is all about making choices. When we shop, we still pause and ask ourselves, “can we find this with less plastic?” “Is there a more earth friendly product?” Reducing the amount of trash we create has taken time. It's not about doing it “right” every time, or making big changes. It's about small comfortable changes that fit into your every day. Simply recognizing our progress, is important.

Community jars are jars someone in the community has brought into the store. Do you have an extra jar? Bring it in for someone else. You want to refill and don’t know where to start? You don’t feel like you have the supplies? You can bring in any container for refill or grab a community jar. Supporting community is what it is about, and you are reducing waste at the same time!
